Gig - Mini Couscous

Mini version of popular Salford night with Paula Darwish & The Country and Eastern Band. Don’t expect sandals and kaftans - this night is as much about rock and dance grooves as it is about ethnic origins and stars one of Manchester’s most original bands. Darwish was born in England to Arabic parents and plays a rare fusion of English, Arabic, Turkish and Kurdish music. Her band, the Country and Eastern Band fuses rock with eastern rhythms and melodies and relies on a careful balance of the familiar with the unknown to create a new and unique sound. This special free event is part of Chorlton Arts Festival.

In what can only be described as "incredible periods of inactivity" the two naughty boys behind Listen To have finally got their fingers out and created the all new Listen To Manchester. Over the next few months we'll be adding loads of new features, but we'd love your help with the site as it stands right now.
