Classically trained in singing, piano and guitar, John came to Manchester to play his music, where "competition is so fierce that it will push any hungry musician to give his life to music". After three years, he got sick of playing early acoustic slots so it was a lucky touch of fate that he decided to pass his time by doing a music degree. This enabled him to meet the musicians that form the band EX-IT. The music is based on the acoustic material written by John Lillis. John’s obsession with a wide variety of genres gives the music it’s carefree touch. Most of all, his sheer drive and determination can be heard in all of his music. As the band has grown to love playing together, the music has evolved into an eclectic mix of folk-rock, jazz and adult-pop. Their instrumental excursions and captivating acoustic grooves are not to be missed. Now, as trained producers and sound engineers, the band will stop at nothing until the music is given the chance to be heard.
