It all began with a band known as 'Nameless' in 2005, which produced no music whatsoever. This band dissolved in early 2006. The guitarist then continued to produce solo music under the pseudonym 'Iptorn'; the name being an acronym - I Prefer To Remain Nameless. In late 2006, the first EP was completed; a 3-track Doom Metal CD not widely distributed. This included a cover of In Flames' 'Come Clarity' and an early version of 'I Am But A God'. Iptorn followed this with an ambient project, 'We Are Not Fallen Creatures', presented as a 2-track, 20 minute piece of music heavily influenced by the dark dungeon music of Mortiis. Shortly afterwards, Loki joined as a vocalist and helped with the production of the latest EP, 'Eternity To Think'. With this, Iptorn took a heavy, more synthetic leap. It was released in October 2007 on a limited edition with songs 'The Void', 'Night Queen', a later version of 'I Am But A God', and other heavier songs. During 2007, Iptorn began playing live.
