I Set The Sea On Fire are the new rock trio kicking up a storm in Sheffield and around the Midlands. The band consists of Peter Jenkins (Bass / Vocals), Billy Washington (Lead Guitar / Vocals) and Josh Soden (Drums). The band was formed as a 4 piece band named Lost Noise. The band have grown from that, and are still playing the same general kind of genre. The band influences include Green Day, U2, The Script, The Clash, Ok Go!, Guns N’ Roses and My Chemical Romance.

Lost Noise released their first single ‘War In My Veins’ in June 2008, and played their first ever gig at The Strawberry Moon Festival, Leek. They were formed by the Youth Music Project, at their school ‘Hope Valley College’. All the members went to this school and this is where they met, together with bassist Jamie Benson to form London Road, the starting band of I Set The Sea On Fire. The band came second in The Hope Valley Talent Show 2008, and third in The Hope Valley Talent Show 2009.

The band played many live gigs around Manchester and Sheffield, including Teenage Kicks (Sheffield), Manchester Academy (Manchester), West Street Live (Sheffield) and Sheffield Academy (Sheffield).

“I Set The Sea On Fire includes Peter Jenkins, Josh Soden and Billy Washington. The Rock / Alternative Trio all come from Sheffield. They competed in Live and Unsigned 2011 which is based in Manchester.”

Nearly there!

In what can only be described as "incredible periods of inactivity" the two naughty boys behind Listen To have finally got their fingers out and created the all new Listen To Manchester. Over the next few months we'll be adding loads of new features, but we'd love your help with the site as it stands right now.

So if you spot any problems, or have anything to say at all about the new site (comments, criticisms, great ideas that we can steal and become millionaires with) then get in touch!
