Loose Stencil draws from an unfathomable well of influence and musicianship. Their style is esoteric yet accessible, thoughtfully combining acoustic and electronic sounds. Whilst sometimes experimental, their music is always melodious.
The first release, Karoshi, captures Loose Stencil’s sound and style as it evolves - being an anthology of songs and ideas recorded with a number of collaborators.
The Fires at the End will Cleanse, a 4-track EP adopted a song-based approach, whilst developing the cinematic style glimpsed on Karoshi.
In March 2009 Loose Stencil release their strongest work. Infinite Still sets keyboard, guitar and vocals within ambient tones and textures. It explores the dark and light of life by encouraging personal contemplation and meditation.
Loose Stencil will make their stage debut at The Met Bury on 06.03.09.
