Sick of keeping his mouth shut, former mime-artist and street sweeper Louis Barabbas has become a persistent whisper on the alternative music circuit. Whilst feverishly peddling his own peculiar Lyric-Driven Dirt-Swing (an incomparable rendering of jive-smitten cabaret blues) he has captured the imaginations of every species of listenership – both at home and overseas. The Bedlam Six have been described by veteran radio presenter Richard Cartridge as “The next big thing” and USA Weekly News as “one of the best and unique bands for music, theatre and entertainment the UK has produced this century” They are without peer on the British live music scene in terms of onstage energy and have, in under three years, racked up an incredible list of achievements: they have played with the likes of Supergrass, Motorhead, Chaz ‘n’ Dave, Sun Ra’s Arkestra, John Powers and Eliza Carthy; have been given a residency at the famous Hill Street Theatre (rent free) for the duration of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival; have been commissioned to arrange works by John Cooper Clarke; were the youngest band (by at least a decade) to play the mainstage at the legendary Bulldog Bash; and are the only band in the history of the award-winning Solfest weekend to play two separate mainstage sets on the same day. They recently won financial support from The Northern Residency Fund to release their first album “Found Drowned” and enjoy enthusiastic endorsement from a host of the BBC’s best known DJs (including Tom Robinson, Marc Riley, Andy Crane, Chris Hawkins, Sam Walker and Christopher Holliday).

Nearly there!

In what can only be described as "incredible periods of inactivity" the two naughty boys behind Listen To have finally got their fingers out and created the all new Listen To Manchester. Over the next few months we'll be adding loads of new features, but we'd love your help with the site as it stands right now.

So if you spot any problems, or have anything to say at all about the new site (comments, criticisms, great ideas that we can steal and become millionaires with) then get in touch!
