hello. my name is Ryan O’Neill and last year i decided to start playing gigs on my own as i grew a bit tired of bands that i was in writing songs but them never getting any further than a practice room. i didnt want to be just another manc singer guitarist so i started to use effects and samplers to give my music a more electronic feel to it. i started doing proper gigs in the summer of 2006 and havent stopped since. since then, kate findlay has started playing cello with me which has added a new depth to the songs and more recently duncan meadows has joined on piano. its all quite chilled and melodic and at the same time quite dark and soundscapey(if thats a word). influences: bjork tori amos pj harvey mars volta sigur ros squarepusher lou rhodes anything that pushes the boundaries of the pigeonholing genre theyve been put in. if you fancy putting me on at a gig, send me an email or a message and i’ll be sort it out. thanks

Nearly there!

In what can only be described as "incredible periods of inactivity" the two naughty boys behind Listen To have finally got their fingers out and created the all new Listen To Manchester. Over the next few months we'll be adding loads of new features, but we'd love your help with the site as it stands right now.

So if you spot any problems, or have anything to say at all about the new site (comments, criticisms, great ideas that we can steal and become millionaires with) then get in touch!
