'Studio Monkeys are a great live band, their big sounding intro's are the foreplay and the atmospheric, melodic choruses are the sex, and when every song finishes you'll need to light up a ciggarette. By the same rule, if you're texting your mate to say "come to the Green Room, these guys are good", and then get called a w**ker, you wonder why you bother.

I was one of the crowd that departed on principle.

My curry in Rusholme was nice and soon took my mind off the feeling of emptiness.

In contrast, i thought the music I was there for was good - no complaints there.

Swiss, you better make sure you don't stand at the front with a mobile if you go and see this lot............the music is all that matters, and matter it did.

It's a nice change to see a band being passionate about what they do and not just go through the motions.
