This is where we pretend some flash journalist has written about ‘who we are’ and ‘why we’re here’.
Ermm, five lads, ten instruments, not enough arms. To be honest though, we think it’s a bit difficult to sum us up.
Northerners: A well-read drummer that dresses "hip-hop" and listens to both, the Prodigy and Sigur Ros: John Callaghan. A historian bassist who loves Hella and At The Drive In: Pete Robinson. A singer obsessed with railways, geometry and E.L.O.: Dan Merryweather.
Southerners: An I Am Kloot-fan guitarist with a soft spot for dodgy pubs: Chris Knowles and a ginger-afro-sporting lad with a trumpet, two trombones, and an Art Blakey album: Dave leonard
It shouldnt work, but, here we are. We kind of formed in September 2006 in Manchester, but some members have played together for years, some have jumped in and out of old bands for a time. Some of the music is years old, but never had the chance to see daylight. We call ourselves The Green Half.
