The songs are informed by our lives and the city; the office and the pub; struggle and redemption. Sometimes its just a matter of knowing which side you are on, and then getting on with it.

It is customary, of course, for the band to cram themselves into a creative box and list influences, for what its worth. We currently admire: arcade fire/strokes/pixies/dexys/franz etc, just to give some easy reference points, but a purely random selection from the rock/pop A-Z section in your local record exchange would probably do just as well.

The Rise and Fall of The Rockets are: Philip Dixon - guitars and voice/ Matt Bennett - keys and voice/ Matthew Harrison - guitars and voice/ Richard Williams - bass/ Craig Sumner - drums.

Nearly there!

In what can only be described as "incredible periods of inactivity" the two naughty boys behind Listen To have finally got their fingers out and created the all new Listen To Manchester. Over the next few months we'll be adding loads of new features, but we'd love your help with the site as it stands right now.

So if you spot any problems, or have anything to say at all about the new site (comments, criticisms, great ideas that we can steal and become millionaires with) then get in touch!
