The band were formed back in March 2005; Guitarist Cannon and Bassist Neil had previously got the taste for life in a band during their time at university. After a spell knuckling down into full time employment, the boys felt the time was right to escape the doldrums of the ‘normal’ life and get back into the music scene…But with whom? Cannon called upon lifelong friend and neighbour Matt to put his guitar playing ability to good use and join them in forming a band, along with old school friend Wash to come in and sing. Wash in turn convinced his old friend Apple to come and drum for them (which is rumoured to have taken a pint of Strongbow and a banger) and the line up was then complete. After a stop start first few months the band exerted their prowess on the local pub scene and are currently taking people by storm, branching out into the big city venues with a unique blend of classic tones and original material…2007 appears to be the start of something special for Urbancircus.
